Defenseman Kevin Schaeffer was loaned to Lake Erie (American Hockey League). In eight games, he had two assists. Schaeffer, 24, spent most of last season with Providence (AHL).

Rookie forward Jason Lawrence was traded to Gwinnett for future considerations. He had one goal and one assist in seven games.

Goalie Ryan Munce was activated off injured reserve. He seaparated his shoulder in the season opener.
Last season, with the now-defunct Mississippi Sea Wolves, Munce was 24-24-5 with a 3.21 goals-against average and .915 save percentage. He led the ECHL in games (54), minutes (3,219), shots against (2,024), saves (1,852) and shootout wins (6).
